Volume 5 does not disappoint! Love it!

Mark definitely kicks the series up a notch in this book. I loved the previous 4 volumes and this one does not disappoint! I recommend this to any reader who wants a Sci-Fi adventure full of action and good plot turns. A great read!

The series gets better with every new release. Minu Rocks!

I have been a fan of this series since I read the first book. Anytime you open your book by destroying the planet Earth, you have grabbed my attention. This is the fifth book in the series and with each passing book the author's skill has continued to improve. We novel continues the story of Minu Groves the head of the Chosen. Humanity continues to grow in power and strength under Minu's diplomatic and military vision. The next step is to become an "Awakened" species and Minu pushes humanity onward to its destiny.

Wandrey is writing true Space Opera. It takes place on a galactic scale with all of the political intrigue one would expect with a society that has existed for countless millennia. He has done a masterful job in writing this tale.

The book ends with a cliffhanger, as I believe their are seven planned novels in the series. There are a few really good series going on in Science Fiction and the Earth Song novels are definitely one of them that all fans of Space Opera should be reading.

The epic saga of humanity's future as once rag-tag survivors of Earth's destruction now becoming a rival to the higher-order species of the Concordia continues to amaze and thrill me! Mr. Wandrey's imaginative tale grounded so well in known as well as speculative science gives his universe believability. His writing makes you care about the characters which is a great achievement as well as a requirement for any story you want to spend your precious time reading. This saga should be a TV series immediately! It's a strong example of what entertaining and thought-provoking science fiction should be.

A Howling Great Book from Wolff

I actually ordered this book before it was available in the US because of an immediate need for focused attention in my life. As a result of what I learned I will be brief here because I have other important things to do. Jurgen Wolff provides a wealth of informed, practical, and useful tools, tips, and techniques to help anyone become more focused and productive. I say anyone, because most books like this encompass a more left brain, logical approach. Jurgen provides a more balanced approach because he also addresses the needs and struggles of the more creative, right brained folks and suggests different approaches for them to use.

One of my favorite methods is using alter-egos to help focus and get things done. It has worked really well for me; the only concern I have is that I may be becoming schizophrenic. Which reminds me, the author interjects just enough humor to make the whole book an enjoyable read. So buy it, read it, and do it - you'll be glad you did.

Incredibly Helpful

As a college student, I cannot even begin to describe how helpful this book was to me! I've read other books that are supposed to help with focusing, but nothing has come close to being as influential as his book.

The tips and advice make so much sense and were easy for me to implement in my life. The best part is that nothing required a big shift or lifestyle change. They were all simple and straightforward steps I could take immediately ...and I did! I saw almost instant changes to the way I approached my schoolwork and job. His book has really made a big impact on my life in the best way possible. I've become way more productive and my grades show it! I couldn't be more thankful that he wrote this book!!

Anyone can read this book and take something away. The tips are easy to apply to basically any kind of lifestyle. They're all interesting and like nothing I've ever heard of before. But they really work! It would be a mistake not to check this book out!

This is the first book I've read that really tells you how to use both sides of your brain in order to be more creative and productive. It's practical, easy to read, and has helped me to focus my attention and energy where they need to be. Highly recommended.

A gripping, clever story

I just read this book from cover to cover. It's strikingly suspenseful, and the author shows amazing skill in making a wild plot believable and scary. It reminds me of The Manchurian Candidate, but with a 2001 twist that could make any parent a little paranoid about the technology in their children's hands. The writing is vivid and brisk. This is the kind of book people reach for in airports right before they get on a plane -- and the kind that they hold on to and recommend to friends. It's several notches above any thrillers I've read in months!

CHECK YOUR KID'S VIDEO GAMES

Thom Racina, a master of what we affectionately call "fluff fiction", come up with an interesting premise here: a megalomaniac with a strong hatred of religion uses his video game, Practice Run, to brainwash teens to help eradicate important religious figures in an attempt to wipe God's influence off the face of the planet. Tyler Bryant has just married idealistic and impressionistic Quinn. It doesn't take long for her to suspect her husband in a series of hideous murders: a teen shoots an Archbishop at her confirmation and then shoots herself; a teen brutally attacks two door to door religious men, and then kills himself; and on and on. The sole factor that connects them: they all played Practice Run. Add a heroic FBI investigator; the maniac's imprisoned half-brother, and a stoic friend, and Quinn is off to tell the world.
There are some cliche scenes, some inane dialogue, but Racina knows how to hook his reader and keep them involved. His books move fast, and I enjoy them.
