Tick Tock Clockmaker ;)

This one just is perfection. I love how it ends and begins and everything in between. Usually I hate it when it leaves it off with only one book but they did good job on this one. Ace is kinder in this one and we get to see Boris's ugly side. All in all a great read.

I have been a huge fan of Julius since the first Alice series. When I heard about a manga that was specifically about this couple, I was overjoyed with fangirl-isms! My only disappointment was that it was a stand alone volume like Ace and the bloody twins. I really wish the author could've extended like Boris' s story. Oh well I really enjoyed their story nonetheless.

One of my favorites, but . . .

This is one of my favorite mangas of the whole Alice series. It focuses heavily on Alice and Julius growing individually and together as they deal with their feelings for each other. While I don't think the art was the best of all of the Alice books, the plot and believability of the story and their interactions more than made up for that part.
It focuses on Alice and Julius' relationship, following fairly well the events of the Country of Hearts manga series, up to the party. Boris and Ace make key appearances here to help the characters admit what they're feeling.
My biggest gripe, and the reason for losing a star, is more on the publisher than anything. I bought this for Alice and Julius' story, but it felt like a good 1/3 of the book I paid for was actually the artist's other series. Frankly, I don't care about those characters (especially since there wasn't much of an introduction to them or the story--it was like I was supposed to know them and the plot from the getgo) and I felt like they could have put more Julius in for what I paid. It's like, they were like crap, we need more pages! What do we put in? And the author was like ooh, free advertising, bam!
Don't get me wrong; it's one of my favorite Alice mangas, and I definitely don't regret owning it. But I do feel a little gypped about how they handled the manga book itself, and I felt a little taken advantage of.
